As a video editor, motion designer, and graphic artist, I've had the opportunity to bring a wide range of stories to life. From transforming hours of unscripted interview footage into compelling narratives to crafting polished animations, I've been hands-on in every aspect of these projects. Whether it's a clear and concise explainer video like Checkout and Studio Iowa Tech Tips, or heartfelt, community-focused pieces like Habitat for Humanity Impact and Hurricane Michael, I've worked closely with clients to ensure their vision is not just captured, but elevated–delivering visual stories that resonate and strengthen their brand.

A Level Up Story - HartSmart Products

Level Up Media Interactive, a communication consulting startup, wanted to showcase their impact through client testimonials. With Brandon Hart’s interview footage in hand, I transformed it into a captivating narrative. I designed and animated the Level Up Media Interactive logo, and crafted eye-catching branding motion graphics, bringing the story to life and highlighting their innovative approach.

On Your Side Certified Agents

This video highlights how Nationwide's On Your Side certification helps insurance agents deliver exceptional client support. Featuring one of their top agents, it shows the real-world impact of certification. I crafted the story by weaving together extensive interviews and footage into this compelling narrative.

Hurricane

Hurricane Michael: a Customer Experience - Nationwide Agribusiness

This story chronicles the aftermath of Hurricane Michael on Flint River Mills and how Nationwide Agribusiness swiftly helped them recover. I meticulously reviewed hours of interview and B-roll footage to weave together this narrative. Adding a compelling score and integrating Nationwide's branding, I crafted this powerful final piece that highlights their critical support and resilience.

I've had the opportunity to design three Habitat for Humanity Key awards videos during the past couple of years. Every year I look forward to designing, conceptualizing, and implementing the overarching visual language of the piece in a way to best elevate the impact of the work Habitat for Humanity offers to Greater Des Moines.

Habitat

I have worked on many ICUL and ICUF videos over the past couple of years. While the ICUL and ICUF branding remain the same each time, the new artistic challenge is how to weave in the yearly theme while also creating a fresh approach for the yearly convention video.

2020 Mumo Systems - Checkout

This project was one of the first remote projects I worked on at the start of the pandemic. I used my Huion graphic drawing tablet to assist with the illustration of the characters. This was a fun visual project because the client only had one graphic in mind when they pitched the video (the shopping basket). From that reference image, I created, designed, and animated the visual flow of this piece.

AIM - ZAR Platinum Pro - Prepping

The ZAR video project involved creating a cohesive visual identity across a series of five videos. While each video had its own topic focus, the branding and style became the common thread. I blended 2D animation, motion graphics, and live action to create the visual look of these pieces.

DMACC College Lifestyle

I began working on DMACC projects as soon as I joined Studio Iowa. I have used this opportunity to help develop a visual style for the various DMACC commercials we produce that not only maintains the identity of DMACC but also innovates a new path to add vibrancy to the community college programs and career opportunities.

2019 Small Biz Awards - Farmboy

I was given the opportunity to direct this video for the Small Biz Award series. Jason's fun energy was highly contagious and I wanted to perpetuate that energy through the artistic direction of the shots, visuals, and editing for this piece. The colors, the tempo of the music, and the smiles from Jason and his employees embodied the genuine character of Farmboy.

Mumo Systems - Abacus

This video blended abstract visual concepts with concrete imagery in a very interesting way. For a portion of the video I was challenged to replicate screen capture video of the software while also keeping the content vague. Each computer action shown on screen was built out in Illustrator and animated. For the rest of the video, I represented the concepts of what the software solves through broad imagery.

Studio Iowa Tech Tips - Lighting

I worked with one of Studio Iowa's videographers to research and script this series of informative videos as a way to provide a resource to the general public as they entered the world of video communication. I took the concepts and designed and animated this collection of videos.
